Sabrina sadly lost her life to her brain disease Jan 8 2021. This mental illness took her from the vibrant young, beautiful 17 year old girl to a place that no parent dares to imagine. She had a strong desire to help others so this is our way to continue her dream. Her graduating year was 2022, so that year we distributed 4 $10,752. The class of 2023 we donated a total of $9176, 2024 total $11,574. We want to keep her name (Sabrina Noelle DuPrey) alive in the community she loved so much. Over $31,000 in scholarships in 3 years.
The criteria for the scholarship is Mental Health related with a strong emphasis on ending the stigma. This is a disease like any other cancer. Treatments are there, but like any disease, sometimes the treatments do not work.
